our areas of expertise

Our areas of expertise are centred around helping active adults recover from injury, manage pain and move with confidence. Alongside general musculoskeletal physiotherapy care, we provide targeted support for running-related injuries, overuse conditions, strength and endurance programming, and guided return to training.

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy can help reduce pain, improve movement and support recovery following injury or periods of stiffness. Treatment may include hands-on techniques such as joint mobilisation, soft tissue massage and movement-based therapy, tailored to your individual presentation and goals.

Return to training guidance

Returning to training after injury can be challenging, especially when balancing recovery with performance goals. We provide structured guidance to help you rebuild confidence, manage training loads and return to running, sport or exercise safely and progressively, including:

  • Graduated return to running and exercise plans
  • Load management and training progression guidance
  • Support following injury flare-ups
  • Strategies to reduce re-injury risk and build confidence returning to activity

overuse injuries

Overuse injuries often develop gradually when training loads, recovery or movement patterns become difficult for the body to tolerate over time. We help identify contributing factors, reduce irritation and build a plan to support recovery while keeping you moving where possible. This can include:

  • Assessment and management of persistent or recurring injuries
  • Support for tendon, muscle and joint-related pain
  • Training load and recovery guidance
  • Exercise-based rehabilitation to improve resilience and reduce recurrence

strength and endurance for injury prevention

Building strength and endurance can help improve performance, support recovery and reduce injury risk over time. We provide tailored exercise programs to help your body better tolerate the demands of training, sport and everyday activity.

  • Individualised strength and conditioning programs
  • Endurance-focused exercise planning for active adults and runners
  • Support to improve resilience, movement confidence and long-term performance

Dry needling

Dry needling is a safe and effective technique used to reduce muscle pain. Nick is qualified to practise dry needling and has seen great results when using the technique.

The goal is to achieve a twitch response from the muscle, allowing the muscle to relax. This is achieved by inserting fine needles into the muscle tissue.

Running assessment

Whether you are a casual jogger or a serious runner, a running assessment can help to identify any problem areas that may lead to injury.

If you are already experiencing pain or injury while running,  there can be several reasons why, from  overloading tissue to biomechanical problems. We will assess your gait and technique to determine the best course of action.
